Darkness is a human concept, light is a medium-less physical concept. The physical/real can be harsh or “blinding”, but guidance through people moderates this brightness for some. It’s like a balance, take your beliefs too far and it will overwhelm and hide what’s true to you. If you allow the light of the world to shine completely, you will become salted and see only the errors in which you live.
