I absolutely loved this. Great premise, absolutely adorable art, and very smooth gameplay. I can't wait to see the full version of this game!
Some small critiques:
- The camera feels very tight to the movement. I got used to it after a while, but possibly an accessibility option to have it a little looser would be nice. I feel like the responsiveness of the camera and the fast combat movement might cause some motion sickness
- The tip to press a button to interact with something (picking up a card, talking to a character, etc.) can sometimes get lost in the background. A subtle shadow or a thicker outline could help with readability.
- Cards don't initially stand out as intractable. A small animation to highlight it might be helpful.
- I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but the heavy attack of the Axe weapon is a few frames longer than the animation lock. So if the player holds the other direction, it's possible to hit the opposite side with the heavy attack as well.
- While I did find the cross promotion and other social tie-ins funny and entertaining, it did feel a little heavy handed
VOD of the stream is linked below. It will be available for 60 days. If needed for longer, please let me know and a highlight can be created.
