Absolutely gorgeous graphics design and sooo cute! Love the characters and their unique personalities and how sweet and just plain wholesome and loving Azuki's family is.
The second chapter did feel like it stretched on a bit long. There was a bit too much going back over the first game's plot when the first chapter did a good enough job of catching me up on what happened in it (though surprisingly not any explanation for why Azuki has cat ears). It also felt a little repetitive with the multiple game with Kiki, Daniel is reminded again how different Star Humans are, good laughs, Marvin snarks, and he goes to sleep wondering if he is good enough for Azuki.
I do see the point of establishing their relationship and how happy and great things are before it all goes wrong and the other girls presumably reappear. But could be tightened up a bit, and still have the same purpose. I loved the humor and OMG the narrator at the stop was a freaking hoot. I had a blast reading their lines.
All in all, it left me curious for where the story would go, and the foreshadowing about the backups and the defense ball made it clear Azuki is in danger. And even the weird alien food managed to look cute and weird and gorgeous at the same time!
