I got lost for hours in the world I built through this game. I've played a few solo journaling rpgs but usually have a hard time sticking with them - I tend to overthink the prompts and get stuck making decisions. Not with Ms. Goode's! The prompts strike a balance between being evocative enough that I'm excited to journal but with enough parameters so I don't get overwhelmed. There are plenty of opportunities to take the game in different directions. I find that character and plot development both feel organic.

I love writing poetry but never had a practice of writing metered poetry before. The editing phase aka something goes wrong was so helpful! It made sense narratively for my characters as well as for developing my craft. Made it to second term - here's my favorite spell I've written so far:

Take sunshine up to wiggle out
All's cold will soon have life
A root can grow in winter time
Forget the troubled night

I'm excited to play out the rest of the school year and see where the game takes me.
