Coming back to this game ten years later and amazed to realize how it's shaped my current romance preferences as a huge otome fan. It was also cathartic to remember how much I used to relate to Hana at age 15 when I first played the game, and how much I've grown since. It meant a lot to me back then to see representation of someone so similar to me.
PBG's route is everything to me as a huge fan of golden retriever boys and the childhood friend trope. And funnily enough, the real PBG is the reason I'm with my fiance today. In middle school, we first bonded over watching him, and now we've been together for nine years.
