Love the game (the art style especially) and I hope you continue to flesh it out. My only real critiques are with the minigames, I feel like the truck game is incomparable easier to rack up a lot of cash and the hit boxes are a little janky. I was also getting some events back-to-back-to-back, but that's more of a game jam limitation than anything. Other than that, I liked the writing and the side characters and it's genuinely a great game that I enjoyed playing.
And as a suggestion, I feel like it'd be fun to have some MC weight gain as well, like Ellie rubs off on them while they're spending all this time together. Maybe there's an event where Ellie shares some road trip snacks during the drive and the MC is so worried about Ellie's 'grazing' that they don't notice their own eating habits.
