It's sadly not a bug. It really has only one upgrade. The initial plan was to have 5 or so and with the upgrade unlock a bigger animal. There was just too much going on, so that not s lot of the initial plan could be done. 😅
I see, that's the curse of gamejams, too little time to get everything done! Still nice game. Good luck on your next project!
