I fucking screamed. Twice. The funny thing? I saw the first 'jumpscare' image on bsky the day before. I looked at that and went 'is this supposed to be scary? Maybe it's a contextual thing.' And then I looked at the alt text, which was something something 'disturbingly wide smile' and I noticed indeed how wide it was; how wide the eyes.
There wasn't context. Just a constant atmosphere of dread, so much dread, and a soft 'thump' as the image appeared. I screamed.
