Have you tried resetting the quest and doing it again?

You can check in the save data to see whether you’ve already received the shoes by opening the save data, pressing F3 to use the search filter, and typing "runningShoes". After that, check whether the number after it is 0 or 1.

As I understood the item by some mistake was not given to me so I reset the quest and also changed the number to 0 and going through everything again I got the boots. Thanks for helping
