Ransomware is something that hackers use to breach your computer and hold your files hostage. To the point that you either have to pay(which may or may not work) or do a complete restart.
Some of them do even more than that, but that's the main thing.
That happens from time to time, apparently because the anti virus software doesn't recognize the engine or whatever. I always just ignore it now, but the first time I saw this I also asked. If you're still not sure you can try different anti virus programs, see if you're getting the same response.
That's good to know! I actually threw it in my virtual machine just to make sure it was clean, it seemed to have been safe. However my virtual machine was also made during COVID and it's offline only so the virus protection is subpar on it. So I didn't want to risk it on my rig.
