Dude seriously, I’ve never been so touched by a visual novel before, but Our Wonderland, man… like jeez you had no reason to actually tear out my heart and obliterate it to nothing while chopping up those nothings with Buck’s axe?? HEARTBREAKING PERFECTION.
Like bro, I was so so so disinclined to try out this novel initially because of the gore and sexual assault warnings and all that jazz, but AGGH the art got me, and then I found out (from reading it) that you wrote this novel and the characters way too well, and then I just couldn’t stop reading, like I LEGIT HAD NO URGE TO STOP, IT WAS SO SCARY WHAT YOU DID TO ME HAHA! You got me reading from 6pm yesterday to 7am right now, even doing that lil side story game between arc 4 and 5 when prompted to, like WHAT! TRULY, all I had done was consume your novel, and YOU… UGHHH YOU HAVE LEFT ME FEELING SO EMPTY AND BROKEN, IT WAS TOO TOO GOOD!!!
AHH THERES TOO MUCH I WANT TO SAY (not just to glaze you but yk, to get stuff off my chest): first thing off the top of my head, I saw one of your other posts about arc 2 not being successful on its release, smth about chubby men having low favorability in the polls, BUT BROSKI, WHAT??? HOW THO?? I’m a guy and MAN, ARC 2 WAS BY FAR MY FAVORITE ARC OF ALL OF THEM, legit, this vn is something else because, GENZOU?? Okay backtrack a bit: you did an amazing job introducing all the characters, but maybe it’s because I relate to Genzou so much? Or because I really want a Genzou in my life? IDK, but basically all of his intimate scenes and sprites interacting with Iggy, just being nice or getting caught off guard, the CGs with him, especially when he would pause to consider how he should confess, it just got me feeling that exact same “stone” sensation iggy kept mentioning and GEEZ You made that guy way too likable, like bruh how can Genzou be so cute and handsome and fearless, lowkey emotionally intelligent and rlly smart sometimes with his quick thinking and witty attitude, like why was he making me pull out the dictionary with some of his words?? Like scintillating?? Bro. Well I’m not 30 yet so maybe this is just normal lingo? HAHA And I was so proud of Iggy when he reciprocated feelings, got me giggling and saying “NO WAY! YEEHAW AWWW” out loud, looking into my mirror to see my shocked face HAHA. Anyhow, I only read Genzou’s ending/epilogue because he just resonated with me THAT MUCH. I do wish the epilogue wasn’t just us being told how their story ends, and it was us experiencing it in real time, talking to him for the last time and stuff because I really wanted to hear his voice again LOL, but considering that you made peak, it’s really alright! I thank you for choosing him to be the one that was at Iggy’s side through thick and thin each arc!! He’s definitely in my top five favorite characters in all the media I’ve ever consumed, and wow, I almost don’t want to check out your other games with him in it just so that I know in the back of my mind that there’s always more Genzou content I haven’t seen, and that was not the last of him HAHA.
Loved the resets each arc btw. When I saw it after completing the first arc, I was so so so excited like DUDE, I love VLR and Until Then and other games that utilize this same mechanic, IT’S SERIOUSLY THE BEST, and like WOW. You executed it flawlessly. Iggy recognizing his sexuality was cool too, just the way you wrote how he felt uncomfortable was so so understandable, (even though I’m not asexual myself, I could truly feel it and understand it through that internal dialogue, it was kinda eye-opening!)
I think I kinda got a bit annoyed of Iggy being so nonchalantly hurt and tossed around tho (like PHYSICALLY, by like EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE LOL) like c’mon, you couldn’t give him a bit more of a break? Why’s he always tripping, falling, or getting limbs chopped off? I was cringing at his pain bro, like you KNOW it’s coming every fight scene. HAHA It was all good tho, it allowed for more Genzou lines for when he would take care of him Lol.
Ahh I have more to say but I’m super beat from not sleeping yet, TLDR: LOVED IT SO MUCH, Genzou is the GOAT and the sweetest guy ever and uh yep, I’ll definitely check out more of your stuff later, bye!
