You can shoot a bullet at a black bullet to block it (and earn some points) and you need to strategise a bit about how many bullets you shot the previus rounds to survive longer. If you need to survive longer you can also run away from the bullets (if you have enough distance) instead of shooting them wich spawns more ghost bullets the following rounds (but bullets are faster than you so they can catch upp).
