Thanks for playing! The gate/fort on the overworld right before the pirate alcove was going to be a dungeon, but the game was getting too big so I cut it, now it just blocks the path to the rest of the map. As for the shed it's there for some extra items and to try and hint the player toward interacting with the well (and a little post game secret if you picked up a certain item!).
