Don't be so hard on yourself as a newbie, this sounds fine! Bright with a touch of melancholy, sounds nice 🙂

For some constructive feedback, perhaps experiment with your phrasing/timing, give things a little breathing room here and there. The composition is nice but it's a little full steam ahead, you know? Not bad, just room to play with it! Have a play with the velocities to work in some dynamics, which will also help it to ebb and flow. See how it sounds when you make some notes or phrases whisper soft (or soft-er) and others more punchy, maybe ramping up in a crescendo or accenting specific notes for extra bounce, that sort of thing 🙂

Mix wise it could do with some EQ as it's fairly trebly and thin sounding, lacking low end... just a hint of low end, either from the piano itself or another instrument, and perhaps rolling off those highs just a smidge would sound nice to me, but then the brightness is part of its charm. Just needs a little bit of balance is all (in my opinion) 🙂

Keep on making stuff and doing jams, I look forward to seeing how you progress. I make music on my phone, talk about limiting haha. It's all about persevering and improving over time and just making stuff that you like! Nice effort 👌

Edit: on second listen (I was on the commute home haha) it does breathe more than I gave you credit for. Still room for variation, but yeah don't read too much into it, it's fine ✌️

Thank you for the feedback, its great to hear what I need improvement on. I have been trying to mess with velocities a little, but like you said I need to work on it. Now for the EQ I have no idea what I need. but I will look into that more since it sounds like I need to. Thanks again, your feedback is invaluable. :D
