I only recently realized that Studio 54 connection!
I like to imagine they live in an alternate universe or timeline to ours, where they don't have the same problems we do. Like, I doubt Connor's ever going to bring up the covid pandemic, so maybe it just didn't happen, and 21CA is in The Big City.
