Interesting piece of sound design, but I didn't really get "dark forest" from it. I think it would work to underscore a nightmare kind of scene, which could very well take place in a dark forest, but I feel like the setting is kind of interchangeable? On the production side, it's way too loud 😅 Other than that, I would have liked to have heard a bit more of the synth/paddy part that came forward towards the end, but a lot of it was hidden beneath the noise (I get what you were going for, but I could just hear it lurking away back there for a while and wanted to hear it more 😄)

I will try to answer your comment. My main source of inspiration was the "staruha mha" project, which perfectly captures my vision of the theme of the dark forest. I imagined a dense, chthonic taiga filled with raw air and impenetrable thickets, and I tried to convey this through my music. As for the sound design, I may have gone overboard with the use of numerous effects. Additionally, I accidentally saved the project in m4a format, which is commonly used for mobile voice recorders, resulting in a significant decrease in quality.
Yeah I get what you're going for 🙂 all I meant was that it isn't an obviously forest-themed track, but that's the vision you had so it's totally subjective! I did get that feeling when listening, kind of claustrophobic, all-encompassing. I only meant to say that it isn't self-evidently a typical "forest" track, but it's down to context ✌️ Shame about the .m4a haha, it happens 😄
