Long review ahead but its genuinely cause i love the game:
This game was such a delight, i did play YT music in the bg for a bit more of a romantic and immersive ambience, but oml this game was so beautiful. I love Fern very much, such a lovely character. His design is gorgeous and let me just say i am so so glad y'all decided to give him white eyes and face marks. I feel like a lot of times characters with masks tend to disappoint a bit when they take it off and its just default anime boy num.800 (no shade though!) so i was over the moon to see him be so pretty and distinctive under the mask. The character designs for the rest of the cast was also phenomenal (Peri had no right to be that pretty, i even thought he was a romantic option haha).
My first run i got a beautiful ending where we went to see the candle lights in the festival to then get an inn room, super pretty. The variety of options felt very freeing, especially because they actually matter!! There were only a few "all options lead down the same road" situation, which I'm very happy about.. The character customization was also delightful! My only constructive criticism is that i felt like a lot of important scenes of progression with Fern should've had artwork involved (like when MC kisses him, more of that would make the situation more impactful, imo), some of the dialogues felt a bit odd and slightly rushed (though the dialogues with Fern made me too giddy to really bother me), and I'm not sure if it i just didn't notice its existence but a sort of gallery for the obtained artwork and a progression tracker would be nice. Its only my first run and i believe i got the good ending but would like to keep a sort of tracker to know what routes I've gotten and such. Overall, i love this game already and feel enticed to play it again! And if you ever made a romance game surrounding a certain slaker of a coworker, i would be over the moon!!
