How do install the latest update? I cannot find any option to download the update, and the game is not updating automatically. The February update seemed to install itself automatically (at least, new items suddenly appeared), but the March one is not. Any ideas?

Edited to add: I can see the text to install the files on the update page, but there is no option to download them - it just displays as plain text. I can try to reinstall from Steam, but my son is worried he will lose all his saved tracks if I do.

There's no risk of losing saved tracks between itchio and steam.
Unless you've put the itchio version inside your Steam folder for some reason, they'll be completely separate. Just find the save folders:

Steam: X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tracks - The Train Set Game\TrainSet\Saved\SaveGames
Itchio: [Download location]\TrainSet\Saved\SaveGames\

And you can copy/paste the saved tracks between the versions. You could copy that folder to your desktop to have as a backup too if you want to be extra safe.
(the UnlockProgression save game keeps track of which items you have unlocked so you may want to copy that over too)

Thank you for the response! My son will be very happy to know that I can download the updated version and copy over his saved tracks. He is 5 and currently obsessed with using his screen time to either play the game or watch videos of it being played online. When one of his favourite gamers announced the new updates, he was very excited!
