There is 30 random wood and stone that spawns in the just try to keep moving in one direction at the start after 2 days they will spawn every it was 50 spawn every time but I thought that was too much so I made 30 the stone is pretty rare but it will spawn and they spawn after the shelter get destroyed and if don't see them on the ground check the top right corner it shows how much you have

I just played to make sure you probably moved in the wrong direction the black ball is on the left of the map the blue one is one the right side and the green one is in the middle so maybe you moved on the direction of the wall at the start and the resource spawn only after the sun goes down but at first there is three shelters to hide under i should've made the balls position clear so would know where you are I'm going to write the positions of the shelters and the balls in the description so no one gets confused
