Oh wow, thank you so much for the detailed comment and kind words! It really means a lot. I had a blast developing this game, it was super intense trying to get everything working in just 4 days, but also really rewarding. I totally agree with you, there’s so much potential for adding new mechanics and giving players more ways to customize their playstyle. I love your example about having powerful abilities tied to cooldowns or in-game resources.

Right now, the core idea is there, but there’s a lot of room for deeper gameplay systems, especially with how flexible the "coding" part can be. I think that’s what excited me most about working on it. It opens up endless possibilities for creative strategies and player expression. The infinite upgrade points bug was unfortunate (classic game jam moment haha), but hopefully it didn’t take away too much from the overall experience.

After the jam ends, I’m definitely planning to continue working on it, but I’ll probably start by refactoring and cleaning things up under the hood. I ran into a few annoying bugs that were tough to track down in the time limit, so a bit of restructuring should help make the next phase of development much smoother.

Thanks again for taking the time to play and leave such thoughtful feedback. It’s super motivating, and I really appreciate it. Hope your project went well too. I totally get what you mean about having tons of ideas but running out of time. Game jams always feel like a race against the clock, but it’s so cool to see what everyone manages to create!
