Just finished! I liked the environmental storytelling. The loop mechanic has potential, but I think that unlocking the controls (WASD) like this doesn't add much to the gameplay. For example, if this was a platformer, you could make a point that unlocking new movements allows you to visit more areas, and you could face off the platforming challenges in different ways, but since this is more of a puzzle game, I think it would make more sense to unlock new skills, which would allow you to look at the world with new eyes. The fun part about this type of games is usually the backtracking, where with your new skills you can do stuff you couldn't do before. But overall not bad for your first game jam!

Thank you for the suggestion. This game originally was supposed to be a platform but that idea was scrapped because of a gravity bug I didn't know how to fix. So I made it more like an rpg type.
