once i get to a certain amount of xp in the escaped stage it automatically puts me back at the start (i forgot how much)
Happening to me too at around 500 Experience, kinda makes progressing impossible
Edit: Nevermind I think I figured it out, its when you run out of total energy
For me that's not the case; I usually still have tons of it, but at around 4k it resets.
