The Bad
The game is good, the food/sanity balancing is eh but you can still get a sweet spot pretty easily. But there's another problem that comes with that, just surviving alone basically takes up 80% of your time. Meaning? It is extremely hard/rng based to level up a skill and/or class to level 5. Which means you miss out on a lot of extra content, mainly because of the ingame day-timer. Since it's still WIP, I believe there should be an option in the settings to remove it now or in the actual release of the game as 80 days are simply too short to meaningfully grind your character in the ways you wish while struggling to survive at the same time. leveling up speed to 100 (reliable, useful rank) alone takes nearly 20-25 days depending on how you play, even harder since there is a "passion" mechanic (unofficial name given by me) that lowers your gains of any specific skill by a procedural margin depending on how many times you repeat it. It's not bad, don't get me wrong, but it just makes it so you have to essentially pre-game plan your runs while save scumming, leading to a not-so-enjoyable story and repetitive gameplay in my opinion.
The Good.
The game has so far amazing art and a nice, linear story telling in my opinion. Sure, some things are void, but that is expected of a WIP. The new animations add life to the character, and the daily random events also increase immersion and make replaying the game more fun. The game puts you in the shoes of a barely-surviving desperate character really well, and makes time pass by as a breeze when playing the game.
The Whatever i guess
Overall, the game is great. It's like a 5 star course meal waiting to be devoured.. Only you cannot because as I've stated, you don't nearly have enough time unless you specialize for certain things in many playthroughs. The balance needs some polishing, day timer needs to go up (if not dissapear right away this instant) and.. That's about all I got. Thanks for listening to my little rant and I hope this game doesn't become a victim of malicious payment processors. Godspeed dev
