No, I play hardcore games, but when any significant damage becomes a hopeless situation, it's stupid. What's the point of all this deep healing and health system if one dislocated bone can kill you, then you can just make a death screen when you take damage.

But, with that mentality, why not replace the whole health system with a health bar? Isn't it more convenient too? You see, as I see it, the point in these mechanics is not only for you to die in game, but for you to *feel* the character's suffering.
