I was drawn in by some Lee art I was shown, which got me curious so I watched a playthrough. I immediately fell in love. The atmosphere throughout the whole game is amazing - calm but eerie at the same time, with buildups that leave you guessing if something bad will happen, only to reveal that it was just your mind playing games, but you still can't shake the feeling...
The sweet scenes in the second part made me feel so warm and I felt happy for both of them that they enjoyed each other's company. And then the twist just hits you. I loved the way both characters reacted and how the scene played out, it was perfect in my eyes - both routes - even if one of them broke my heart. Amazing job.
As a person with ADHD myself I relate so much to Angel's struggles and some of their mannerisms, it's a really good portrayal, you did a very good job at that.
And then the reason I gave this a shot in the first place, Lee. I love him so much, I could gush about him for hours on end here and still not be done, so all I'm gonna say is that I love his design, his awkwardness and nerdiness about what he loves, I love this unstable fat man <3 The way you portrayed his nervousness and awkwarndess with the talk sprites was perfect, I loved it.
One question I would like to ask. I see this game has a bunch of fan translations, and I wanted to ask if it would be fine if I gave it a shot to make one for my language? (Romanian) Do you have any knowledge of anyone else working on one rn?
I would really want to give it a try if it's fine. One issue that would come up for sure though is regarding the portrayal of Angel's gender, as in my language there are no neutral pronouns, and on top that, many other things are gendered that are neutral in English. If I do work on this I want to find a solution that is most accurate/respectful, while not affecting the natural flow of the dialogue. Would it be possible to discuss this somewhere?
