Ijust finished Going Live and that was...huh...I’m honestly not sure what to say. The visuals and voice acting were absolutely beautiful. Zilas’ voice actor, especially, did such a stunning job. His voice was so soothing and gentle, a perfect fit for the character in my opinion. And Zilas himself? Just the cutest, most lovable guy. Reading the chat interactions was such a fun touch, and I truly felt for him on his journey to becoming a bigger streamer.
But… okay, spoilers ahead.
WHAT THE HELL WERE THOSE ENDINGS???
My first playthrough left me completely stunned. When I saw the message that the MC and Zilas hadn’t spoken in a few days, I thought maybe he was just taking a break or letting things slide. But then...that happened. I was speechless.
Of course, I immediately started a second playthrough, hoping for a happy ending. And for a moment, I thought I got it. The cuteness aggression scene had me smiling, thinking, “Oh, we’re about to smother him in hugs and kisses!” …Yeah...no we didn't. That turn hit hard, and I wasn’t ready for it.
Honestly, the endings hurt a lot. They were such a complete turnaround from what I expected. But I think that was the point, and if so, mission accomplished. You had me clueless right until the very end.
Do I still wish there had been a real happy ending? Absolutely. Just one where they went on that vacation together, in love, without the shadow of cuteness aggression looming over them.
But even so, this game was incredibly well made, beautiful, and unforgettable.
