It genuinely sucks that this is happening to so many games on itch! I loved CA ever since I first played it, and the fact that so much has to be changed just for it to be listed on the pages is so sad :(( maybe there is another side you could upload it on? After all, changing everything for a sake of a website doesn't seem like an amazing idea...

I really wish I could... believe me, it hurts even more to watch something I’ve poured so much of my heart, time, and effort into get dismantled like this. The bigger issue is that there just aren’t many good alternatives. Some devs have set up temporary websites for adult content, but those usually have little to no traffic-- so the game just ends up... sitting there.

Others have suggested Ko-fi or Patreon, but I don’t have any experience with them, and I don’t want to rush into setting them up since I’m already stretched thin and don’t have the bandwidth to manage multiple platforms. Some players also mentioned creating a separate website, but most domains either don’t allow NSFW content or come with costs. Plus, CA isn’t exactly a hugely popular game (we’ve barely hit 50k downloads here) so it likely wouldn’t get much independent traffic on its own.

Steam is another option, but the upfront cost (especially in USD) is just too much for me right now as a student living in a country with a weak currency exchange rate.

So honestly, there really isn’t a platform like itch that offers both visibility and free access. It’s a tough spot to be in :(((
