I am so sorry. As a consumer, I am so tired of this already, so I can't imagine how much it must be hitting you and other creators too. And as a writer, I'm quite frankly devastated. So much creative control is being stripped away from game developers because of payment processors, and it's like itch.io does not care at all.

Despite this, I really must beg of you to not give up on this game. If itch.io keeps being too harsh, then I'm sure there must be other places to host this game! We will all find a way to keep going, so don't back down yet, please. We can't give in, no matter what.

And everyone, keep emailing and calling Visa, Mastercard, and especially Stripe to voice your disapproval!  We are adults who can do what we choose with our money, they have no right to take that from us.

You're right on the mark winnie, it’s been incredibly frustrating to see so much creative freedom taken away, especially when all we want is to share our stories and games with people who appreciate them (like you). Still, it’s heartening to know that the community is behind this and willing to fight alongside us ^^

And yes, absolutely-- speaking out to the payment processors, esp calling them, is super important, since it seems they’re just auto-discarding emails at this point. Depending on where you are, signing petitions and supporting certain bills can also help (it’s wild how the UK, US, and Australia all seem to be moving in the same direction on this whole prude agenda *there's a conspiracy brewing in my mind*).

And of course, sharing the affected works is just as important. We deserve to have control over what we create and support, otherwise… adults who??
