RPG Maker MV games don't seem to work properly on newer Macs as of macOS 11 due to Apple's changes. DID Games could port to RPG Maker MZ (the graphics can be carried over, but not the code), but they'd have to get plugins that would work on MZ as well rewrite D2 specific plugins for MZ which would be a lot of work and probably not worth it since most players tend to play on Windows anyway.
