I've only just started chapter 2, so maybe I just haven't gotten to it yet, but is it ever explained exactly what different stats ("parameters") do?

Trying to buy equipment and stuff and while I can guess what speed and some of the others do, some are very vague. For example what in the world does stamina do for Mark?  I think being able to read the descriptions of these stats from some book or menu would be greatly informative and a big help.

I have a problem with the Temple of Fire, I found it, but I don't know how to get inside,please help:)

And on Chapter IV on the amazon mountain the part where we pick up the boulder, whenever i click the main menu(where it shows the stats of the characters,items,saveandload,etc.) it loads. Hey, quick question. So as far back as Chapter 1, there is a locker in the school that has passwords set up by Mariah in order to open it and I can't see anything about it anywhere in the walkthrough (Keep in mind, I have not made it past Chapter 3 yet, but I am determined to do so). Are any passwords listed in the walkthrough? Can the locker even be opened in the earlier chapters?
