Is this supposed to be intentionally very hard?

I am struggling to even beat 1 trash mob with full party.

the jungle? full party? youre meant to be alone.
did you upgrade gear? level a weapon?

I am at Kuro cave part., weapon is book at level 3

Gear is at full slime gear, since im a fan of the regen. Not sure if there is a way to upgrade beyond that.

its just the one augment on all equipment, well you sound decent enough off i dont know what to tell you other than rethink how you use your skills or maybe wait for the easier mode setting im putting together , i didnt have much trouble when i tested things so i dont know what the issue is

p.s: might want to look into how the kuro minion monster move works, especially the part-wide goo attack. Sometimes, it keeps happening back to back, making TP management a bit impossible when that happens.

the regular kuro orbs?
the spread skills are low prio and cost both mp and tp, meaning the battle has to go on for a few turns before they can use them and they cant use them forever, if youre getting multiple mass spreads in a row you might just be getting unlucky or not focusing a single target down hard enough

The problem was this is during random Damsel encounter. The damsel ended up turning into broodmother so fast in one of the encounter. It is very lengthy battle for what is supposed to be a simple random encounter..

It felt like I was fighting a mini-boss.

After the fight my party hp mp is pretty much almost gone.

Maybe I am doing it wrong or just unlucky. But I can't help but feel frustated during that part.

it should be about the same as a regular broodmother fight if you lose the damsel
