Basically, before the rewrites get put out, each character that is relevant to Roe has a friendship value that acts on a point system where the values change depending on the decisions you make in the game. The characters you can romance in these games also have a romance point system that works the same way. I believe the choice at the beginning that involves Roe's attraction to certain genders determines which characters have the romance point system but I'm not sure. I'm not sure if this will change after the rewrites go out but this is how the romance system is done in the game. You can basically flirt with everyone but I'm wondering if you flirting with others just to go with one or two people might affect the story but I don't know if it will. Although, while that is a way you can play the game, you can pick to flirt or not flirt with whoever you want. The good thing about this game is that you don't need to flirt with anyone. Sure the option at the beginning is there for the purpose of who you can romance, I think, but that doesn't mean you have to romance all of them or anyone for that matter. Your character can be attracted to both males and females but that doesn't mean you need to romance anyone in the game.
