This is sad to hear. Hopefully itch will at least allow creators to leave links to patreon/other sites that they can redirect their fans towards....
Agreed it is such a bummer. Itch was the one place it was safe to release my games. Thankfully my profile and games are not currently at risk of being taken down, it’ll just mean people have to come to my profile to see what’s launched.
