You can read Collective Shout's statement about this here, they state among other things that they pressured payment processors into complying with their demands by making over 1000 phonecalls to their companies. They previously also successfully stopped Tyler the Creator from touring in Australia, and also managed to have GTA V pulled from stores in Australia as well. 

It's really dangerous that they're allowed to lobby for censorship like this, I hope this issue brings enough attention to the matter 🙏🏼

I googled some articles (because this issue completely slipped past me and I'm underinformed) and I agree that (as some of them say) "by bucking to pressure from groups like Collective Shout, platforms like Steam pave the way for more extreme censorship measures". I hate this. I'm not a fan of adult games, but the idea of payment processors dictating morality is a dangerous precedent to set.
