it's not a card issue, it's a way of protest since a lot of works have been banned/shadowbanned (my own too!) due to pressure from christian nationalists like the original poster said. steam is doing the same, this is more of a visa/mastercard issue (though steam and itch are bending to their requests)
it's not itch's fault, this is legit one of the most lgbt friendly platforms out there; this is fault of the monopolies of payment processors. it is in fact a challenge to find any place that processes online transactions that is not doing this, so please focus your efforts on payment processors instead of on indie creatives
