I think the sound was bugged on my end. It would play the gunshot noise and then nothing else when a scene loaded. Despite that it's a very charming and fun game. Fits the jam perfectly.
Thank you! Did some extra testing and seems a bug I fixed with the audio also made it so on a fresh playthrough nothing was initially saved, thank you for letting me know!
