It is like any other TTRPG game. You can play with as many players as you want from 2 to 6: one game master (Who designs the adventure and directs it, controlling the NPCs and presenting challenges to the PCs) and, at least, one player character (who play one of the protagonists in the story). The ideal number, I think, is one GM and 3 PCs.
