This project hit all the sweet spots for me: childhood friend trope, realistic weight/angst about our lack of contacting Max, and the additional intrigue/mystery of the town. As a sucker for long hair, red hair, piercings, and small town charm, I'm going to miss Max, but I understand your decision and wish you luck in your other projects!
