I am so so so so late, the place to turn in the tickets is the golden lightswitch looking thing right next to the window to turn it in, stand in front of it, press the up arrow key, press Z, then wait for the food at the window. to pick it up, stand in front of it, press the up arrow key, and press Z again. you basically always have to press the direction of the item/thing you're interacting with otherwise it won't register it!
