Cool concept! I don't know if you can do it with GameMaker but pixel art benefits greatly from using nearest neighbour scaling on the images.

I didn't make the art for the game, and when I open the file of the art, there were three options, 16x16, 32x32, and 64x64, and I used the wrong one and scaled it down and then up or something  I dont really know and thats why it looks bad
