Hi!

Sorry to hear that. It seems like either something went wrong with downloading/unpacking the game, or something's blocking access for parts of the game.

Some of the following might help:

  • Make sure your computer meets the minimal system requirements. You can find them here: https://www.renpy.org/dev-doc/html/build.html?#requirements
  • Delete the game folder completely and download the game again.
  • Make sure you get the right version ("PC" for Windows/Linux, or "Mac" for macOS)
  • Unzip the downloaded file and wait until extraction is fully done before you do anything with it
  • Put the game folder in a location that isn't restricted in any way (for example, put it in "C:\MyGames\EruptionImminent-0.5.1-pc")
  • Don't merge the game files with an older version of the game
  • Don't change the folder structure, don't rename files, don't install any mods
  • Make sure there aren't any unusual characters in the folder path
  • Make sure the folder path isn't exceptionally long
  • Make sure your antivirus isn't blocking/changing any game files
  • Try running the game as administrator

Hope it helps!
