All the files are packed into resources.neu.

Since it sounds like you are able to successfully launch the older version, I am assuming you have a 64-bit system and are using either Windows 10 or 11. 

  • If your Windows username contains any special characters, that will cause the app to crash on launch. 
  • You can also open a command prompt and type
    cd [EnterFullAppFolderPathHere (e.g. C:\Users\MyUsername\Desktop\Windows)] 
    start Artifact
    And that may show an error if it fails to launch. 

  • An Antivirus or Windows Defender could also be blocking it from launching, so it may help to check the quarantine logs and/or add an exception for Artifact. Perhaps even running the app as Administrator, though it shouldn't be necessary. 

    Hopefully something here works, but for now I am continuing to look into this issue for other possible causes or solutions.
