If it is your first time there, it will be so hard to scape the stocks since you character has no experience with restraints, so you either try and try until you lvl up or ask for help that is no so good idea cause some times they will ruin your progress :D

Oh, everyone has the same struggle at the beginning. but to answer you... Just keep struggling until you break free or you can shout to let others help you - tho if you shout it can go wrong sometimes.

PS: I was stuck there for like 4-5 in game days... Everyone was there once :)
