I'll only answer what I can without spoilers, though it's tempting to do so!

Aria and Caelum are childhood friends, having both grown up in the same village.

Perhaps it wasn't clear, but this town is a long way from the two companions' birthplace. They're both seen as outsiders/countrymen in town.

Aria and Caelum are two names I chose especially for them, so they make sense, at least to me. Anyway, Aria is her first name, not a nickname (at least that's the initial one, since you can change it).

Fate's a funny thing, maybe diving into the heart of the dungeon will teach us more about theirs, who knows! And about the war being waged between demons and gods.

I'd like to add more characters (probably two more), but that'll come gradually.

Of course, answer only what you want I don't expect you to give me all the answers, after all part of the fun is what actually true and if I am right or not.

This is some of what I observed and are theories of mine. (I have so much more to say)

Got it.

It was clear but I always look for something deeper hidden away in stories again part of the fun is the mystery and solving them.

It is very interesting as I gather, they are both of Latin origin which makes me think there's hidden meaning there Caelum meaning that of heaven but also of a chisel which is extra meaningful as that is a small blade used to carve.  Possibly to refer to the fact he is carving out his own destiny?  (I will say more in another message below.) Aria's name is one with ties both Latin and Italian meaning air or a melody which I'm not sure what that could mean for her? A siren type of ability in the future? (Again, I will say more in another post.)

I have theories about the cave too and why there are others traveling down it and has to do with the one angel NPC in the corner... If they are really an angel but I think they are just dressing up as one

I have much I want to say including a timeline of events and about the why the citizens act stranger as Aria's lust increases.

As always thanks for letting me talk about all of this.

One thing I did  find odd was that Caelum's powers were "Shade" and "Darkness" and debuffs, whereas Aria's powers were "Saint" and "Starlight" and buffs. I haven't got too far into the game, but at least so far we're led to believe that Caelum is the Hero of Light. You would think the Goddess of Light would lend her attributes to her Hero... unless he's actually chosen by the Goddess of Darkness and cursed to not realize what's going on with Aria... The original thought I had was that "Hero of Light can't doubt or be suspicious of his friends", but either  could work. I like the lore not gonna lie. "Ancient gods choose heros to wage a proxy war" is always good.
