Normally by the end of my comments I write My Favorite Part; here it boils down to the idea of doing your own garden blooming with flowers. When I discovered that I could take them and placed them wherever and do something really beautiful and that tingled my brain: I really see myself playing something along these lines outside of a Jam Context where I'm looking for a comfort food.

It's a pretty ambitious idea for a Jam with many cycles, a 24 day cycles among them. The idea of having multiple NPCs and... I just can't imagine how hard doing a sim could be n.n' But I'm really happy to see people just giving their all and I'm sad that someone from the team got sick :*)

If there's a pet peeve that I have in hindsight from playing several games from the jam. It feels somewhat conventional in the sense that it moves like stardew valley/harvest moon, with a top down view, you move around a physical space where things are going to be laid out, you go to the shop, your garden, the mansion.... Somehow I think all of this ends up taking away the spotlight to planting flowers and decorating which I felt was very slow and even when I wanted to do more I really discouraged because I enjoyed the end result but not the process of doing it.

I would've enjoyed the game breaking away from this convention in order to have everything a little bit more tied together, having more synergy across elements, and also giving space add more features in the futures and scale the game without leaving the focus of the game behind... I was thinking in menus but I couldn't think of any game so I just took some minutes on the steam store and stumble upon Potion Craft which goes way more than the scope of this project (And as they say, comparison is the thief of joy) but in a lot of areas I think it is something that I imagine the assets, time and concepts you have would fit way better.

I know some people appreciate these comments, but I hate giving these kind of feedback since I don't know what was the actual work that was put behind so I feel that I'm overstepping a boundary. But I hope it is constructive.

Regardless. My Favorite Part: I didn't know I wanted a Touhou Game where I could create my own flower garden XD. Thank you!

I tend to enjoy building games quite a lot, so it was a pleasant surprise to come across this one! Even without a heavy focus on story, the gardening concept comes together well thanks to the choice of setting and characters.

The controls are generally intuitive, and I was able to figure them out even without tutorials or control listings. Well done!

I noticed a few gameplay anomalies, although the biggest one was the lack of multi-planting-placing abilities and the lack of saving - presumably due to time constraints. The watering can could do with visual feedback on how watered the surrounding area is, to spare the need to highlight individually. Otherwise, the infinite placement range isn't wrong by any means, and can make for good QoL as a game design option.

I found the game to shine most in its character art and music! Characters on the map animate well, and the portraits are nice to look at. I also really like Yuuka's design. Custom designs & outfits are always fun to see! (^∇^)

There are some minor visual anomalies (specially the flower menu and Meiling sometimes being layered behind Sakuya), but these don't detract from the game at all.

As for the music, the dynamic music is very calm and fun to listen to.
(I was letting it play while writing out my thoughts!)

Overall, despite the rough edges, this concept makes for a fun garden builder!

This game is pretty pretty.

The idea of a gardening game for making pretty flower beds founds really nice and its not something I've seen done before... well at least as the main focus, and I feel like there's a lot to do with this idea for a game. The art and music is fantastic too, it sets the mood of a cozy garden really well. Id really like to see a feature for planting more then one flower without needing to open the menu again.

Cant wait to see where this game goes!

SAVE FEATURE PLS, I can't go through all the days in just one sitting. I played only Day 1 fyi. I looked for a way to save but doesn't look like there's one.

Already mentioned below but yea it really needs a better tool selection system. Otherwise I think the gameplay elements and the gameplay loop are fine.

Give display priority to the flowers that are placed lower on the map?  I had dug and planted seeds from "bottom to top" and the result looks off.

The musical arranges are amazing, they could calm even a vengeful spirit. Love that they're mini-medleys too.

A thank you from the composer. It wasn’t my idea to do so, but my mind went to Balatro when it was brought up and how well it does seemless music transitions. Each variation is meant to have a different feel while carrying the same beat throughout, and yes I did throw in as many character themes as I could, surprisingly finding out quite a few match with Meiling’s well.

I encountered a few points of friction in my time playing; first off, I think that I having to select each  seed individually every plant was... Id prefer if selecting the shovel or a seed type acted as a tool that remained selected until I ran out of it. Another thing is some things like the hisami dialogue did not scale properly with my screen and was visible at the start of each day because my screen is greater than 1920x1080 resolution. I also encountered the dig puddles appearing even after a plant was harvested, but I could not reuse that hole to plant new seeds so they would eventually accumulate.

I do want to say, the flowers look amazing and I appreciate any game that includes morning glories, was surprised to see them treated like a bush though as I'm used to them being vines that act like wall flowers. Still, love to see them and they were cute here.

Sorry to hear that you had so many problems... better tool selection was on my to-do list but had some issues with team and myself so i couldn't pull it off. glad you atleast enjoyed flowers though :,)
