there is not a off switch for fog. To my knowledge giants has not done that. The fog disappears slowly as in real life, with some days it being thicker and staying longer.
There is a fog control mod on kingmods that will let you turn the fog on and off. Its been submitted to modhub I believe but no updates on time for it to be there were given.
