My Mc at the start was so in grief and on the verge of crashing out, heck, they are crashing out. I even made them lash out at Lancelot first, but then I couldn't keep the distance with him. Let's be real, the Mc was a child at the time; I'm sure they would want someone, even if it's Lancelot.
I can't give the kid any more misery.
So, I made Lancelot a family bond with my Mc. And when it was revealed that he and Lucerius are in a romantic relationship, well, I'm not surprised and just accepted it. My Mc was happy for Lancelot, but at this point, they are just tired and in grief; they just want answers. That's the only thing they want, the truth. And be free. (Then maybe they can smack the truth to Lucerius face, which to be honest will be more satisfying for me.)
Lucerius is a damn hypocrite. (Which is my personal opinion.) But I enjoy the interactions with him. Mc can lash out at them, and he can parry it back. That's what I like about their dynamic.
