Thank you! There was a clue for the puzzle, it was in the antlers of the shambu creature, shaped like "71", if that makes sense.
The logic for the shell puzzle, is once you find the tool, you can use it to shuck the clam. I should have clarified some puzzles with more descriptions.
As for the umbrella, you could think of it like a bag holding the umbrella!
