As for the text saying something happened in the MC's room — that's probably a coding bug.
If you go in and nothing happens, then it's all good.
Regarding the quest "Watch a horror movie with everyone", you can just go to the living room at night and click on the TV.
From there, you’ll be able to pick the movie you want.

That was the last event I needed so know I am 100% complete with the events.
I’m guessing the sound in my room is supposed to be pearl cleaning because that is the only one that I can think of that happens in your room
