I tested the game out. Although you include built-in controller support, you don't force it on players, except for a little bit of movement. I like that a lot. The game can almost be completely paired with JoyToKey, so it's extremely controller-friendly. I could see myself playing this with a mech controller. 'Probably not a Steel Battalion one, but something cheaper and smaller.
The way inputs are used is somewhat clumsy, because some screens require L-click to proceed, while others require Enter.
Enter isn't listed in the Controls list, and I wish I didn't have to rely on it.
I like the fact that the game is much more "human" than Armored Core.
There's an awful lot of military talk. Sometimes I wish mech games would surprise me a little more.
